CASE STUDY

The micro-home case study is designed as intergenerational housing. Intergenerational housing fosters interaction between older and younger people of all backgrounds and promotes a psychologically and physically healthier lifestyle. The micro-home is modelled as affordable housing for first time buyers, teachers, community workers, and seniors. This case study is one of a community of micro-homes congregating around shared open space, gardens, play areas, and community buildings for gathering and recreational opportunities.
Design Brief: 300sf, one bedroom/bath, sustainable building, solar panels, climate sensitive landscaping.
